Crime of the Week, January 29, 2008

This week Nashville Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $1000 cash, for clues called in to 74-CRIME that help solve the murder of 24 year old Jorge Jimenez of south Nashville.

On Saturday, November 3rd 2007 at approximately 8:45 in the evening, a friend of Jorge Jimenez walked into Jorge’s Nolensville Road home and found him shot to death. The friend called police who immediately responded and started their investigation. Detectives quickly determined that Jorge was heavily involved in the cocaine trade in Nashville. Police seized almost 16 pounds of cocaine, $179,165 in cash, a GMC Denali, a Range Rover, a Cadillac Escalade and other high dollar items believed to have been purchased with drug money. Detectives feel that Jorge was killed only about an hour before he was discovered. There was no sign of a struggle which may mean that Jorge knew who his killer was or the killer slipped inside without being noticed.

South precinct detectives have been unable to determine if Jorge was killed because of his drug connection or if he was murdered for another reason.

If you have information about who killed Jorge Jimenez inside his home in the 6100 block of Nolensville Road in south Nashville, call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. If the information results in the arrest and prosecution, Nashville Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of $1000 cash.

Crime stoppers will also pay up to $1000 for clues called in to 74-CRIME on any other major crime, wanted person, stolen property or drugs. Callers remain anonymous, they will only be known by the code number they are issued.
