TThis week Nashville Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $1000 cash, for clues called in to 74-CRIME that help solve the murder of 24 year old Darryl Goldthreate of east Nashville.
On Thursday, December 27th, 2007 at approximately 10:50 in the evening, residents of Dellway drive heard shots fired and called police. A passerby also heard the shots and walked toward the area out of curiosity. Darryl Goldthreate was found lying in the street on Dellway drive near Dickerson road. He was transported to Vanderbilt Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. East precinct investigators determined that Darryl had just left a friends apartment at nearby Dellway Villa apartments, and had used a path to cut through from the apartments over to Dellway drive.
Darryl had a criminal record for armed robbery and had an outstanding warrant for aggravated robbery at the time of his death. He was suspected of being involved in several recent robberies around the Dellway Villa apartments and nearby area. It is unknown if his shooting was in retaliation for something he may have been involved in the past or not.
If you have information about who shot and killed Darryl Goldthreate on Dellway drive in east Nashville, call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. If the information results in the arrest and prosecution, Nashville Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of $1000 cash.
Crime stoppers will also pay up to $1000 for clues called in to 74-CRIME on any other major crime, wanted person, stolen property or drugs. Callers remain anonymous, they will only be known by the code number they are issued.
