
Fatal Crash investigators continue in their efforts to identify the pedestrian who was struck and killed at 3 a.m. Monday while crossing the eastbound lanes of I-24 near Hickory Hollow Parkway.
The victim carried no identification. He is a male of apparent Hispanic descent, 20-25 years old, 5’5” tall and weighs 150 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt, black jeans with a brown belt, and a pair of size 9½ white Fila tennis shoes.
The victim was hit in the left lane of the interstate by a 2000 Honda Civic being driven by Natasha Walker, 21, of Antioch. The crash appears to be the fault of the pedestrian. No charges against Walker are anticipated at present.
Anyone with knowledge of the victim’s identity, or anyone who saw him in the moments leading up to the collision, is urged to contact the police department’s Traffic Unit at 862-7738.
