
East Precinct detectives today arrested two teenagers for separately robbing two Gallatin Road Kroger grocery stores earlier this month.
Denir Graves, 19, of North 7th Street, is charged with aggravated robbery for the March 1 holdup of the Kroger store at 711 Gallatin Road. Graves is alleged to have used a pistol while holding up a customer service employee at 9:50 a.m. He is also under investigation by the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force for the February 23 robbery of the US Bank branch inside the Kroger store at 143 McGavock Pike in Donelson. He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bond.
Graves’ friend, Nathan Lee Newsom, 15, of Paragon Mills Road, is charged with aggravated robbery for the March 6 holdup of the Kroger store at 3410 Gallatin Road. Newsom is alleged to have used a pistol while holding up a customer service employee at 9:10 a.m.
