
Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s six precincts this week charged 89 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
South Precinct detectives charged 12 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Briley Parkway, Nolensville Pike, and Wallace Road. Seized were 107 grams of cocaine, 158.6 grams of marijuana, and $954 cash.
West Precinct detectives charged 24 persons as the result of investigations on 14th Avenue North at Ireland Street, 16th Avenue North at Jo Johnston Avenue, 16th Avenue North at Jefferson Street, and West End Avenue at 17th Avenue North. Seized were .5 grams of cocaine, .5 grams of marijuana, 80 Ecstasy pills, 77.5 pounds of Khat, 334 Hydrocodone pills, six Oxycodone pills, and one weapon.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 23 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Bell Road, 4th Avenue South, and Millwood Drive. Seized were 15 grams of cocaine, 41 grams of marijuana, two vehicles, and $760 cash.
North Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Myatt Drive, Brick Church Pike, Brickmont drive, Mill Station Drive, Dickerson Pike, Trinity Lane, and South Graycroft Avenue. Seized were 4.6 pounds of cocaine, 54.4 pounds of marijuana, 1 gram of heroin, 388 Hydrocodone pills, three weapons, eight vehicles, and $2,474 cash.
East Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Shelby Avenue at South 9th Street, North 5th Street, Dickerson Pike at Dellway Drive, North 1st Street at Spring Street, Main Street, and the Litton Apartments. Seized were 1.3 grams of cocaine and one Dilaudid pill.
Central Precinct detectives assisted in attempting to obtain a padlock order for the House of Thrills, 709 3rd Avenue South, because of the lewd, unsafe, and open sexual conduct occurring inside the business.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department's 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
