An investigation Thursday by West Precinct Officer Carey Adkerson led to the arrest of a man attempting to sell dozens of counterfeit CDs.

Tyrone Collins, 20, of Riverside Drive, is charged with felony criminal simulation and criminal impersonation.

Collins was selling the counterfeit CDs for $5.00 dollars apiece at Exxon On the Run at 1401 Charlotte Avenue at 10:30 p.m. Officer Adkerson followed Collins to a maroon Cadillac where numerous counterfeit CDs were found in a notebook along with a corresponding list of primarily Rap and R & B artists including Tupac Shakur, Scarface, Eminem, and Stevie Wonder.

Seized were 103 counterfeit CDs valued at $1,400 dollars. Collins is being held in lieu of $30,000 dollars bond.
