The man found shot to death early Saturday morning outside his apartment in the Sunrise Complex at 189 Wallace Road is identified as Victor Hugo Mendez, 25.
Another resident of the complex was leaving for work when he discovered the victim lying in the parking lot at 4 a.m. Mendez was pronounced dead at the scene.
Several other witnesses heard a gunshot around midnight, and actually observed the victim lying in the parking lot; however, they did not notify police.
