The man found shot just after midnight Tuesdayin the 900 block of 1st Avenue Southis identified as Kerry Edward Oldham, 28, of Robert Yoest Drive.
Hermitage Precinct officers found Oldham lying on the sidewalk. Witnesses told investigators Oldhamwas shot before he ran to the area and collapsed. He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives have not determined a motive, but are attempting to locate several persons who were in the area at the time or who may have information concerning this fatal shooting.
