A teenager is charged in four separate market robberies.
Brian Cole, 18, of Coney Street, was positively identified by the clerk of a Shell convenience store on Elm Hill Pike as the person who struck her in the face with his fist before taking money from her register Thursday.
Witnesses to the Shell robbery chased Cole until Hermitage Precinct Officer Mike Johnson arrived and took him into custody. During interviews with Hermitage and East Precinct detectives, Cole admitted to his involvement in the Shell robbery and to three other armed robberies all occurring at Jenny Market on Dickerson Pike on July 1, 16, and 25.
The same clerk was involved in all three Jenny Market robberies. He was also able to positively identify Cole as the person who robbed him at gunpoint.
Cole is charged with six counts of aggravated robbery and one count of robbery. He is being held in lieu of $380,000 bond.
