The person fatally shot this afternoon inside a home in the 1400 block of Pennock Avenue is identified as Demarius Lacey, 17, of Brickdale Lane.
Lacey was visiting friends when a gunman opened the front door and fired multiple shots. Several rounds struck Lacey, who was transported to Skyline Medical Center and pronounced dead.
The gunman is described as a young black man in his late teens or early twenties. He is approximately 5’8” tall, has braided hair, and was wearing a white tank top along with orange/black shorts. The suspect was seen leaving in a newer model dark sedan.
East Precinct detectives are working to determine a motive and if Lacey was the intended target.
