The man killed in Thursday afternoon’s bicycle-truck collision at 3144 Dickerson Pike is identified as Therien C. Hadley, Jr., 47, of Lewis Street.
Hadley was riding his bike south on the right edge of Dickerson Pike next to a tractor-trailer. The truck driver, Marcus Bernard Jordan, Sr., 43, of Queen Street, activated his right signal and turned right into a private driveway at 3:30 p.m. The tractor-trailer and Hadley collided. Hadley was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he died.
Jordan reported he was unaware Hadley was riding next to his truck. The contributing factor to this fatal crash appears to be Hadley’s failure to observe Jordan’s turn signal.
