Officers are working to locate an unmarked police car stolen overnight between 11:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The 2003 white Chevy Malibu bears Tennessee License number 001-JBX. The police car was parked inan alley near a door to the Domestic Violence Division building on 2nd Avenue South. Broken glass was found nearby, indicating a window was broken out.
The Malibu is equipped with blue lights in the grill and visor, and a police radio. In the trunk were a police jacket, police raid vest, and handcuffs. No weapons were in the stolen car.
Anyone seeing the stolen police car or knowing its whereabouts is urged to contact Emergency Dispatch at 862-8600.
