The man found murdered in a vacant lot on Lewis Street near the Garden Street intersection October 8 has been identified as Christopher Charles Hill, 20, of Lewis Street.

A man looking for cans found Hill’s body under a piece of plastic. The medical examiner found apparent blunt force trauma to the victim’s head.

Detectives are working to locate Hill’s 2004 black Mitsubishi Lancer bearing Tennessee license tag 149PRR. The car has dark tinted windows and a spoiler.

Hill’s mother helped identify her son after seeing news reports describing the victim’s clothing.

Anyone with information about Hills’s murder or his car is urged to contact South Precinct Detective Brad Corcoran at 862-7680 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
