Metro Police patch

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

November 12, 2007

Speed appears to be a contributing factor in a single-vehicle accident Sunday night on Whites Creek Pike that claimed the life of Deborah Keith, 42, of Cooperstown, Tennessee.

Keith was driving her 1995 Chevrolet Suburban east on Whites Creek Pike near Sycamore Creek Road just after 10 p.m. when the SUV careened off the roadway, struck a ditch, and rolled over twice.

Keith, the only occupant in the Suburban, was ejected from the SUV and suffered serious head injuries. She was not wearing a seatbelt.

Just minutes before the fatal crash, Keith was seen leaving a Shell gas station on Whites Creek Pike at a high rate of speed.
