
Undercover detectives, assigned to the department’s six precincts, charged 126 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
South Precinct detectives charged 19 persons as the result of investigations on Cedar Drive, Lewis Street, Welch Road, and Foothill Drive. Seized were 28.5 grams of cocaine, 141.75 grams of marijuana, and one weapon.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 30 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Lafayette Street, and Trimble Street. Seized were five grams of cocaine.
West Precinct detectives charged 25 persons as the result of investigations on 25th Avenue North at Elliston Place, 19th Avenue North at Britt Place, 12th Avenue South at Wedgewood Avenue, 28th Avenue North at Clifton Avenue, and Jefferson Street. Seized were 61.4 grams of cocaine, 29 pounds of marijuana, and $7,047 cash.
North Precinct detectives charged 30 persons as the result of investigations on Wren Road, Brick Church Pike, West Trinity Lane, North Gallatin Pike, Baptist World Center Drive, Louisiana Avenue, Old Hickory Boulevard, and Dickerson Pike. Seized were 33.8 grams of cocaine, 2.62 pounds of marijuana, three various pills, one weapon, and $1,918 cash.
East Precinct detectives charged 18 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, the 3500 block of Brookway Drive, and the 1200 block of Haysboro Avenue. Seized were 2.3 grams of cocaine, three grams of marijuana, two marijuana plants, 40 Morphine pills, one Vicodin pill, two weapons, two vehicles, and $16,800 cash.
Central Precinct detectives charged four persons as the result of investigations on North 1st Street at Oldham Street, Hermitage Avenue, South 5th Street, and 6th Avenue South at Mulberry Street. Seized were one gram of cocaine and 454.7 grams of marijuana.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
