Metro Police patch

Metro Police and the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force have identified William Joe Marlowe, 40, as the man who robbed the US Bank branch at 1125 Murfreesboro Pike this afternoon and Bank of America’s 645 Thompson Lane branch Monday afternoon.

In both cases, Marlowe produced robbery demand notes and the tellers gave him money from the cash drawer.

A federal arrest warrant has been issued for Marlowe who is also suspected in several bank robberies in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana.

Marlowe was last known to be driving a red Ford Probe with Kentucky plates. Anyone seeing him or knowing his whereabouts is urged to Emergency Dispatch or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
