Undercover detectives, assigned to the department’s six precincts, charged 89 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

South Precinct detectives charged 14 persons as the result of investigations on Andy Street, Paragon Mills Road, Trimble Street, and Murfreesboro Pike. Seized were 5.5 grams of cocaine, one pound of marijuana, ten Ecstasy pills, 103 Hydrocodone pills, 91 Xanax pills, 61 various pills, four weapons, $2,000 worth of electronics, and $2,367 cash.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 16 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Donelson Pike, McGavock Pike, Frankfort Drive, and Charlotte Pike. Seized were five pounds of marijuana, 250 various pills, and $359 cash.

West Precinct detectives charged 18 persons as the result of investigations on Dr. D.B. Todd Boulevard, Jefferson Street, the 3700 block of Park Avenue, the 600 block of 21st Avenue North, and 11th Avenue South at Edgehill Avenue. Seized were 283 grams of marijuana.

North Precinct detectives charged 17 persons as the result of investigations on Whites Creek Pike, Garfield Street, Buena Vista Pike, North Dupont Avenue, Courtney Court, McKennie Avenue, Liberia Street, Trinity Lane, Cheyenne Boulevard, and Harrington Avenue. Seized were five grams of cocaine, 150 grams of marijuana, 47 various pills, and one weapon.

East Precinct detectives charged eleven persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, the 1700 block of 17th Avenue North, South 8th Street at Russell Street, Hancock Street, Joseph Street, and the 1100 block of Litton Avenue. Seized were 11.1 grams of cocaine, 4.5 grams of marijuana, five weapons, and $239 cash.

Central Precinct detectives charged 13 persons as the result of investigations on 11th Avenue North at Jefferson Street, Ewing Avenue, Fogg Street, Gleaves Street, and 9th Avenue South.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
