Undercover detectives, assigned to each of the department’s six precincts, charged 102 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

South Precinct detectives charged 17 persons as the result of investigations on Monte Carlo Drive, Lewis Street, Thompson Place, and Nolensville Pike. Seized were 30.2 grams of cocaine, 1.3 pounds of marijuana, one ounce of mushrooms, 20 Ecstasy pills, five Xanax bars, and $2,650 cash.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 12 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Lewis Street, Charles Davis Boulevard, Claiborne Street, and Lebanon Pike. Seized were three grams of cocaine, 15 grams of marijuana, one weapon, and one vehicle.

West Precinct detectives charged 28 persons as the result of investigations on Dr. D.B. Todd Boulevard, Jefferson Street, 27th Avenue North at Clifton Avenue, Bandywood Drive, Elmington Avenue, and Michigan Avenue. Seized were 14 grams of cocaine, 11.75 pounds of marijuana, three grams of heroin, one vehicle, and $815 cash.

North Precinct detectives charged 29 persons as the result of investigations on Gallatin Pike, Old Hickory Boulevard, Anderson Lane, Hermosa Street, Cephas Street, Andy Street, Highland Trace Drive, Rome Avenue, and Woodruff Street. Seized were 52.3 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of marijuana, 12 various pills, five weapons, and $1,958 cash.

East Precinct detectives charged six persons as the result of investigations on South 5th Street at Woodland Street, Dickerson Pike at Lucile Street, Gatewood Avenue, and Richardson Avenue. Seized were .7 grams of cocaine.

Central Precinct detectives charged ten persons as the result of investigations on 18th Avenue North at Charlotte Pike, 8th Avenue South at Gleaves and Division Streets, and 11th Avenue North at Jefferson Street. Seized were 105 Oxycontin pills, one Xanax pill, one vehicle, and $789 cash.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
