
Metro Police and the FBI’s Violent Crime Task Force are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who robbed the SunTrust Bank’s 2814 West End Avenue branch this afternoon.
The suspect, armed with handgun,demanded money from a teller at 2 p.m. The teller complied. He is described as a black man in his early 40s. He is approximately 5’6” tall with a medium build. He entered the bank wearing a black jacket with a yellow stripe on each arm and a blue shirt. He also wore a tan cap. The suspect fled on foot.
Anyone seeing the robber or knowing his whereabouts is urged to contact the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force at 232-7500 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
