Officers assigned to the MDHA Task Force arrested two robbery suspects late Wednesday afternoon moments after they took a man’s wallet at gunpoint.
The 61-year-old victim was standing outside a business in the 1200 block of 16th Avenue South when Craig Cosby, 20, of 12th Avenue South and Lee Tipton, 15, of Horton Avenue, robbed him at 4:30 p.m.
Officers Greg McDaniel and Joey Edenfield quickly responded and took Cosby and Horton into custody a short time later on 14th Avenue South. Both admitted to the robbery. West Precinct detectives also charged the teenager with two additional armed robberies that occurred recently in the Edgehill Avenue area.
Cosby is charged with aggravated robbery and is being held in lieu of $75,000 bond.
Horton is charged in Juvenile Court with three counts of aggravated robbery.
