Murder suspect Shatika Maupin surrendered herself to police on South 6th Street this afternoon and is jailed without bond pending a hearing.
Maupin, 30, is charged with Friday night’s stabbing death of Ellard Lonnie Shankle, 53, inside Shankle’s home at #2 Decatur Avenue.
The investigation shows that Shankle and Maupin consumed drugs Friday night and then got into an argument over money. The stabbing took place during the argument.
