
Anyone in the Nashville region who has any interest at all in law enforcement is invited to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Open House, scheduled for next Tuesday, April 22, from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. on the physical training field at the police academy at 2715 Tucker Road.
Officers from a number of police department components, including Patrol, SWAT, Canine, Aviation, Hazardous Devices, Motorcycles, Mounted Patrol, and Crime Scene Investigations will participate in displays and answer questions from potential applicants. Attendees will also be able to test their skills on the physical training course if they choose.
The Open House will cover every aspect of the hiring process. Special booths will be dedicated to the areas of pay and benefits, academy life, and general questions and answers. Persons from other states, including Pennsylvania and New Jersey, have inquired about the event.
In the event of inclement weather, the Open House will be rescheduled to April 29 from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
