Undercover detectives, assigned to each of the department’s six precincts, charged 107 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

South Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Lewis Street, 2nd Avenue South, and Tusculum Road. Seized were 65 grams of cocaine, four pounds of marijuana, eleven Xanax bars, four weapons, and $645 cash.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, 6th Avenue South, Stewarts Ferry Pike, Lebanon Pike, Parris Avenue, Plus Park Boulevard, and Robertson Street. Seized were three grams of cocaine and two weapons.

West Precinct detectives charged 23 persons as the result of investigations on 16th Avenue North at Charlotte Pike, the 1300 block of 12th Avenue South, 17th Avenue North at Patterson Street, the 6500 block of Premier Drive, 12th Avenue South at Summitt Avenue, and 14th Avenue North at Church Street. Seized were five pounds of marijuana, 63 grams of cocaine, seven grams of mushrooms, 125 Lortab pills, and one weapon.

North Precinct detectives charged 22 persons as the result of investigations on Ewingdale Drive, Cliff Drive, Whites Creek Pike, Gallatin Pike, Lanier Drive, Capitol Boulevard, Crestview Drive, Brick Church Pike, Moormans Arm Road, West Hamilton Road, Dunbar Drive, Briley Parkway, and Clarksville Pike. Seized were 14.5 grams of cocaine, 788.1 grams of marijuana, ten Lortab pills, four weapons, and $1,145 cash.

East Precinct detectives charged nine persons as the result of investigations on Chickasaw Avenue, Jones Avenue, Riverside Drive, Meridian Street, Eastside Avenue, and Nesbitt Lane. Seized were 3.8 grams of cocaine and 22 Xanax pills.

Central Precinct detectives charged 18 persons as the result of investigations on 8th Avenue South at Drexel and Fogg Streets, 6th Avenue South at Lafayette Street, 11th Avenue North, 1st Avenue South at Hermitage Avenue, North 1st Street at Oldham Street, and 4th Avenue South at Chestnut Street. Seized were various pills.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
