Metro Police patch

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

September 29, 2009

Citizens throughout the Middle Tennessee region are asked to be on the lookout for the woman who abducted four-day-old Yair Anthony Carillo from his East Ridge Drive home in South Nashville after stabbing his mother.

The kidnapper is described as a white woman in her 30s, approximately 5’4” tall, who had her blonde hair in a ponytail.  She was wearing a black blouse and blue jeans.  She fled in a black four-door car that is said to resemble a police-type vehicle.

Yair’s mother, Maria Gurrolla, 30, said the kidnapper claimed to be with INS and wanted to see her immigration papers.  Gurolla allowed the woman entry, after which Gurolla was stabbed and Yair abducted.  Gurolla is hospitalized with wounds to her head, neck, breast and thigh.  Her condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

Anyone with information about the abductor, or anyone knowing a person fitting the above description who inexplicably has custody of an infant, is urged to immediately contact Metro Police at 862-8600 or their local law enforcement agency.
